Veedersburg, Ind - Mrs Kathryn Elizabeth Davan, 70, of Veedersburg Route 3, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday (Feb 26, 1973) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. She had been a patient there three days. Born March 23, 1902, in Mound Township, Warren County, she was the daughter of Daniel Voorhees and Josephine Ballah Clem. She was married to Clarence Davan, who survives. She was a resident of Foster community until moving to the rural Veedersburg address in 1945. She attended the United Methodist Church. Other survivors include two sons, Carl of Covington and Clarence Jr. of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Oshel (Ruby) Hickman of Covington Route 3; a brother, Cecil Clem of Veedersburg Route 2, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. EST Thursday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with the Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz

  Veedersburg—Mrs. Katheryn Elizabeth Davan, 70, of Veedersburg Route 3, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 1973 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville after a three day hospitalization.

  Born March 23, 1902, in Mound Township, Warren County, she was the daughter of Daniel Voorhees and Josephine Ballah Clem. She was married to Clarence Davan, who survives.

  She was a resident of the Foster community until moving to rural Veedersburg in 1945. She attended the United Methodist Church.

  Other surviving include two sons, Carl of Covington and Clarence Jr. of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Oshel (Ruby) Hickman of Covington Route 3; a brother Cecil Clem of Veedersburg Route 2; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
